About Us

Grateful for who we are and what we have, Hands & Paws in Gratitude is a grassroots movement mobilizing activists, business leaders, community groups, civic organizations, schools, churches, and local residents in addressing the needs of the most vulnerable among us - our hungry and homeless neighbors and animals. Through education and public events, Hands & Paws in Gratitude seeks to raise awareness, generate funding, and recruit volunteers to create nutritious meals for our hungry and homeless neighbors and offer loving care to companion animals without homes.

We believe that all within our community - people and animals - are deserving of respect and well-being - and are calling on all citizens of heart to step forward and join us in ending hunger and homelessness for all. 

Hands & Paws in Gratitude does not seek to displace organizations that may be exclusively focused on human hunger and homelessness - or those focused on the plight of animals. However, so many of our neighbors and community residents wish to help those in need - both people and animals - and Hands & Paws in Gratitude makes it easy to do both. Our events are open to all - fun, spirited, and heart-centered - and our love and giving embraces all in need. For those who love both people and animals - Hands & Paws in Gratitude
